Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 1/4 kg thinly sliced
  • Onion - 1 small chopped
  • Green chilli - 3 nos slit lengthwise
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste or 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut shredded - 1/4 cup
    To temper
  • Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves - 1 stalk (~8 leaves)
  • Dry Red Chilli - 2 or 3 nos

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, let it splutter before adding curry leaves.
  2. Add onion, green chilli, cabbage, turmeric and salt.
  3. Cover and cook in low flame 5 mins. saute occasionally.
  4. Next add in shredded coconut and saute well.
  5. Continue cooking in low flame for 1 or 2 mins more
  6. Serve hot with rice. Enjoy!
