Ingredients

  • Long beans -250 gm [cut in to 2cm pieces]
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  • Salt- to taste or 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 1/4 cup
    For temper :
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Shallot - 4 nos thinly sliced
  • Green chilli - 4 nos
  • Garlic - 3 chopped
  • Curry leaves - few or 2 stem
  • Coconut pieces - 2tbsp
  • Red chilli flakes -1 tsp
  • Oil - 4tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a sauce pan combine long beans, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and water.
  2. Boil it for 5 mins in medium heat until water evaporated.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, let it splutter.
  4. Add rest of temper ingredients altogether and saute well for 1 min.
  5. Add cooked long beans in to the pan and saute for 5 mins or until its crispy.
  6. Serve with rice.
