Ingredients

  • Potato - 2 nos peel & slice thinly lengthwise
  • Onion - 2 nos thinly sliced
  • Green chilli - 4 nos chopped
  • Ginger - 1" piece chopped
  • Curry leaves - 2 stems chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 1tbsp chopped
  • Salt - 1 tsp
    For batter :
  • Gram flour - 3/4 cup
  • All - purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste or 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 1/2 cup (you can adjust water level to get a thick - smooth batter)
    For fry :
  • Oil - 3/4 cup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine potato , onion , Green chilli , ginger,curry leaves,coriander leaves and salt
  2. Mix well with your hand , keep aside 10 minutes
  3. Take another bowl & mix gram flour, All- purpose flour, rice flour, turmeric, chilli powder and salt
  4. Add water slowly & mix without any lumps to form a thick , smooth batter
  5. Then add potato - onion mix to the batter & combine well
  6. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat , when oil is hot well, take small portion of batter & drop them into the oil
  7. Turn in between, cook until its golden brown
  8. Transfer pakora to a plate with paper towel to remove excess oil
  9. Enjoy hot with tea
