  • All - purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste or 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Water - 3/4 cup or( as required for stiff & tight dough)
    For fry:
  • Oil - 1 cup


  1. In a bowl combine all - purpose flour , wheat flour and salt
  2. Gradually add water & knead it well for 5 minutes , then add 1 tsp oil and knead it again
  3. Keep it aside for 10 minutes
  4. Then make small lime size balls & roll it to a circles ( don't make it too thick or thin)
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan or kadai over medium heat, when oil is hot, slide in one poori into oil
  6. Press gently down on the poori using back of a spatula , it will help the poori to puff up
  7. Wait for few seconds to flip the poori , fry it until slightly golden brown
  8. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel , it will help to remove excess oil
  9. Serve hot with potato bajji
