Spicy Egg Omelette | Mutta Omelette

Spicy egg omelette can be given another name “Indian Egg Omelette”. Egg is mixed with spices , chillies, herbs, onions etc. Feel free to add tomatoes .. if you are a tomato lover. 

Spicy egg omelette can be prepared as an easy sidedish to eat with rice or roti. Even better try making a sandwich. Believe it or not you can slice this spicy egg omelette to small pieces and add it in curry.

Spicy Egg Omelette

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 1 person

A quick and easy recipe that can be eaten any time of the day.


  • Egg - 2 nos
  • Onion (chopped) - half of medium sized
  • Green Chilli (chopped) - 2 nos
  • Coriander Leaves (chopped) - 1 tbs
  • Turmeric Powder (optional) - 1 pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbs


  1. Take a bowl and mix all the above ingredients well with spoon
  2. Heat the pan to medium temp and add oil
  3. When it's moderately hot, pour and swirl the egg mix into the pan
  4. After 2 minutes or so flip the omelette and cook the other side for 2 minutes
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot with bread , rice or itself
