Sambaram | Moru | Yogurt or Curd drink

Prep Time: 10 minutes


Yogurt drink flavored with Chilli and herb


  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Chilled water - 2 cup
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  • Curry leaves - few 3 to 4 leaves
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp or as per your taste


  1. In a blender add yogurt and 1/2 cup of water and pulse it 2 times
  2. Add green chilli, ginger,curry leaves,coriander leaves,cumin and salt
  3. Grind it for few seconds
  4. Now add 11/2 cup of chilled water and pulse it once more
  5. Strain the mixture to a large pitcher and pour the sambaram into glasses
  6. Enjoy these drink in hot days or serve with rice
